Kabbalah Thought for this week

"Kabbalists have revealed that the nation of Amalek is a code term that refers to the doubts and undertainties that dwell within the consciousness of humankind. Specifically, these doubts concern the following: our recogition of the reality of The Creator; our trust in the spirirutal laws of our universe; our willingness to embark on and remain on the correct spiritual path. Whenever we begin to approach these universsal truths and come nearer to the Light, doubts automatically set in. Consciously waging war against uncertainty helps to hasten the arrival of our personal Messiah, as well as the global redemption. Moreover, triumping over our doubt helps to ignite the Light of mercy, which sweetens the Judgments due to us as a result of previous iniquities in this life or past incarnation. Hence, the strength to defeat skepticism is summoned forth herein and Light of mercy shines brighter in our lives, helping to soften decrees of judgement that might be due us."

Parashat Achrei Mot 5784 / פָּרָשַׁת אַחֲרֵי מוֹת

Parashat Achrei Mot is the 29th weekly Torah portion in the annual Jewish cycle of Torah reading.

Torah Portion: Leviticus 16:1-18:30

Achrei Mot (“After The Death”) opens by describing the ritual service of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It then details the prohibitions of offering sacrifices outside of the Mishkan (Tabernacle) and of eating animal blood, and ends with a list of forbidden sexual relations. [1]

Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread 🫓🍷

Pesach for Hebrew Year 5784 begins in the Diaspora at sundown on Monday, 22 April 2024 and ends at nightfall on Tuesday, 30 April 2024.

Passover (Hebrew: פֶּסַח Pesach) commemorates the story of the Exodus, in which the ancient Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt. Passover begins on the 15th day of the month of Nisan in the Jewish calendar, which is in spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and is celebrated for seven or eight days. It is one of the most widely observed Jewish holidays.
